Promotional Ideas & Tools
Press Releases & Announcements
Will you be offering a jaw-dropping show special? Are you unveiling a new product? Let photographers know why they can’t miss seeing you at the Imaging EXPO, and they will plan accordingly.
While your company should send out e-mails and add announcements to your website, Twitter accounts and Facebook pages, consider also sending PPA a press release or other type of announcement to drum up attention and excitement. We’ll post it on the Imaging USA blog (http://imagingusa.org/news/) and possibly the PPA Today blog, increasing your exposure even more. To send these releases, please e-mail Angela Wijesinghe.
Consider sending in your show special or new product unveiling announcements early. We’ll get it ready to go and post the information on your requested days only. (Or we can announce it earlier to drive more traffic to your booth.)
Sample Press Release
Download a sample fill-in-the-blank press release for copy and formatting ideas.
Press Kits
If you have a new (or fairly new) product, your marketing team might have pulled together a press kit to help media learn about it. You can still make use out of those kits, even though we will not have a separate media office this year.
Consider keeping any press materials at your booth, and e-mailing Angela Wijesinghe about it. She will send out periodic announcements to the registered Imaging USA media guests, and can point them to your booth (or even your contact person).
Imaging USA Media
Every year, members of photographic industry magazines, blogs and other publications register for a Media Pass to Imaging USA. Consider scheduling a meeting or interview with them, especially if you have something new or exciting that your company is doing.
To contact them, just e-mail Angela Wijesinghe. She will notify the media members and will either send you their information or relay messages for you (depending on the media’s preferences).
Web Buttons & Banner Ads
Here’s a simple way for you to promote your presence at Imaging USA: place these pre-made web buttons and ads on your site’s home page, your company blog or any other online place. And don’t forget to link your button or web page to www.imagingusa.org, so your customers know where to get hands-on experiences with your product!

How it works
It's easier than ever to invite others to the Imaging EXPO (and get closer to those prizes), thanks to the unique link we've created for you:
- Download the EXPO Pass Promotion files (ExpoPass2011.zip)
This compressed file contains instructions & tips, e-mail templates, graphics for web, blog and email use and your custom URL for this promotion. - Share your personal link with everyone you would like to see at the show--e-mail it, tweet it, blog it, post it on your website, and even print it if you like.
- We track click-throughs from all the links and find the three companies that bring in the most Free EXPO traffic--it's that simple.
- Need help? E-mail Gregory Aide (marketing/links/e-mail templates) or Bill Ingwersen (Exposition Manager)
