One night, Russ Harrington borrowed his brother's camera to shoot a Molly Hatchet concert and from that moment forward, his fate was sealed. Harrington fell in love with photographing musicians, and furthered this passion - studying photography in college and then shooting models and fashion ads for a local high-end department store. From the department store, he got his Big Break and the next thing he knew, he was doing an editorial shoot with Trisha Yearwood. Yearwood loved the results and hired Harrington to shoot her next cover – and a star was born. More than 600 album covers later, Russ Harrington has captured inspiring, dramatic and often revealing images of the world's best musicians. From his iconic portrait of Loretta Lyn and Jack White, taken for Lynn's Grammy-winning Van Lear Rose to his candid of Robert Plant making Alison Krause laugh and his photo of Brad Paisley covered in mud, his portfolio features the Who's Who of the music biz. That borrowed camera led to everything Russ loves – his wife who he met in a darkroom at college to his prolific career, capturing the top tier performers of our time!
