Joseph and Louise Simone's prolific career as artists of international acclaim began in 1975 when they opened their own studio in Montreal. Since then, their list of awards and accolades has grown exponentially. Both have repeatedly received the title of Master and Craftsmen of Photography in Quebec, Canada and the United States. They have both earned Portrait Photographer of the Year in Quebec and Canada several times, as well as the American Society of Photography Fellowship. You can find many of their photographs in the PPA’s Loan collections (U.S. and Canadian editions).
Joseph and Louise belong to the PPA members’ Elite group, Camera Craftsmen of America and have received the prestigious honor of the National Citation of the Corporation of Master Photographers of Quebec and Canada as well as PPA’s Warren Motts International Service. It is no surprise that Joseph and Louise are PPA-approved instructors and love to share their experience and knowledge with others in their industry. Never ones to sit on the sidelines, their photographic journey has led them to explore new avenues, combining digital photography, painting and other materials for stunning artistic results. The Simone’s awards and titles speak for themselves, but at the end of the day, what they love is creating and sharing their craft and passion with others.
