PPA’s Show Night Brings History and Excitement to Imaging USA 2019: Day Two Recap!

Day Two of Imaging USA 2019 was nothing short of phenomenal. The energy all over the Georgia World Congress Center was infectious. Being hungover from bar-b-que and dancing at the Opening Party didn't stop everyone from getting an earlier start to the Expo. Attendees got up and got the jump on the latest and greatest photography products.

Those that instead filled their day with classes were rewarded with some of the best photography business education PPA has seen yet. The new Bridging the Gap track is a hit with Imaging-goers. People were streaming in and out of the marketing and business classes taught by amazing speakers such as Brant Menswar and Phil M. Jones, who also held a book signing of his book, Exactly What to Say.

Meanwhile, behind the scenes, the Board of Directors was voting on something very exciting and a complete game-changer to PPA's membership. There's now a new degree you can obtain through PPA's merit system: Master of Wedding Photography!

Monday night means Show Night with the back-to-back Award and Degree Ceremony and Grand Imaging Awards. In a very special moment, all the living past presidents of PPA took the stage. PPA CEO David Trust thanked not just the past presidents but all the volunteers that have helped PPA reach 150 years.

The GIAs are always so exciting and this year was no exception. The audience was treated to the best photography of the year as each categories' 10 nominees are displayed and the top three winners are announced. Ella Carlson took home the overall GIA of the night for her album, Most Wanted.

Show Night finished up with the unveiling of the new Team USA for the World Photographic Cup. They'll be traveling to Drammen, Norway and they picked up their super-stylish Team USA jackets.

There's one more day left of this fantastic Imaging USA. You can spend your Tuesday checking out the Expo for FREE with a pass at ImagingUSA.org/FreePass and by using the code FB19 at checkout. Come join us!
