Wes Kroninger is well known for his inventive editorial and beauty portraiture—cleanly lit images with a vitality and vibrancy that impacts viewers immediately.
Wes has been a full time photographer since 2003 and in that time his work has gained national exposure, in publications including Rolling Stone, Modern Salon, American Salon, Rangefinder, Studio Photography, Long Beach Magazine, After Capture and a wide range of trade publications. He has worked with a broad range of commercial clients like Home Depot, Fruit of the Loom, Russell Athletics, Vanity Fair and AVEDA as well as numerous small business and beauty industry clients across the country. He also received an honorable mention in the prestigious Lucie Awards and has taken home ADDY awards in New Orleans and Panama City Florida.
In the photography industry, Wes has also been recognized for his work as an instructor, leading an extremely successful Master Class on lighting at the WPPI convention for 5 years straight. He has also been an educational speaker at Imaging USA, SPAC, SPI, SYNC, SYNC Sports and he also teaches a class on advertising photography at The Rocky Mountain School of Photography each year in Missoula, Montana. He also has been a guest speaker at numerous local photo chapters around the country.
Wes’ first book Lighting: Design Techniques for Digital Photographers, exploring the creative and technical aspects of photographic lighting was published in 2011 ans is still on shelves. Wes has also been given the title of “Master of Light” by Rotolight for his use of LED lighting to bridge the gap between still photography and videography.
Recently Wes Kroninger started the company Next Gen Photography Solutions which focuses on creating virtual groups and dynamic graphic design work for photographers in the volume schools and youth sports market.
